The Profilter Premium Foam Air Filter (MTX-2010-01) is a reusable, high-performance dual-stage foam air filter manufactured by Maxima Racing Oils/Profilter. It is engineered specifically for modern reverse-cylinder Yamaha off-road and motocross motorcycles. [1]
- Construction: Uses a 15mm thick, heat-laminated reticulated polyester foam core. The dual-stage cell spacing catches heavy debris on the outer layer while stopping micro-silt inside without choking airflow.
- Durability: Assembled using Permabond ultra-high-strength welded seams, allowing the filter to withstand harsh solvent washings without breaking down.
- Sealing: Designed with a plush 13mm thick foam base ring alongside a low-profile rubber grommet. This eliminates the need for heavy sealing grease and provides a completely airtight connection against the flat intake tray.
